Why are we doing this?

Latrobe Valley frontline Healthcare Workers need our support

With the State’s latest surge in COVID-19, increasing case numbers and the ongoing rise in hospitalisations, our healthcare workers need our support.

Latrobe Valley’s healthcare workers are currently working long shifts, caring for our most vulnerable community members and getting very little respite with what at times appears like no end in sight.

We can’t change their workload, but we can brighten up their day with a free coffee from our community and a supportive message.

If you would like to offer our healthcare workers thanks and show them how much you value their tireless efforts, then please use this site to shout a coffee or share your words of support.

Kindness doesn't have to cost you anything

Messages from the community

From Aaron

I am definitely thinking of you all in the medical industry especially front line and testing, but then really you are all working hard, it’s hard not to in your operations and disciplines, and the large amount of work you have been doing even before COVID-19, I know how important it is to you that you provide the level of care you would like to see done and that the opportunity is definitely stretched.

I want to know how you have been coping and if you are going to be ok? What do you think could be better done.

I will keep looking for someone in the field to write in the media because it is highly important and I feel there is a shortcoming that needs to be addressed. I am thinking a Nurses and Doctors Reserve like the ADF.
I’m buying you a coffee tomorrow when my Ctrlnk payments come through but I could not wait to say something! Well done, majorly.

A big thank you for all your work and especially in recent years. You are all so amazing, selfless, and courageous. The community are in awe of all you do, and I am glad to have a chance to express my gratitude. We are all behind you. You are our heroes!

I’ve seen firsthand how much work the local healthcare staff do every day to support the community and I am not alone in being both incredibly thankful and overwhelmingly moved.

It’s a tough space to work in, even outside of the current landscape, and to those who offer so much every time they put in a shift, your impact on the lives of everyone in the community will be long reaching and we can’t thank you enough for it.
